Our Shipping Policy

How quickly will my order ship?
All orders ship within 1-2 business days.

How much will shipping cost?
You are responsible for the shipping cost, and your USPS shipping fee will be calculated at checkout based on the weight of your order and your mailing address. Shipping typically costs $4-$5.

How long does shipping usually take?
We send you your Underbares via USPS First-Class Mail, which typically takes between 5-7 business days.

What if I preorder a style, when will that ship?
If you preorder a style, your order will ship following production. Production times may vary.

What if my order is stuck in transit? What if it is marked delivered, but I can’t find it anywhere?
We rely on third party shipping companies, like USPS, to safely ship and deliver your order. We cannot be held accountable for the mistakes or errors of this third party. We will always provide shipping updates as we learn them from USPS, however, if an order is marked delivered and does not appear to be delivered or if USPS provides information that is unclear, we ask that you please contact USPS directly. They will be able to provide more information as they are the shipping company responsible for delivering your order.

I love the styles I ordered, but I’d like to try a different size or color - how much time do I have to make an exchange?
We welcome exchanges within 30 days of you receiving your order. If 30 days have passed since you received your order, we are unable to process your exchange.

Are there any styles that cannot be exchanged (or returned for that matter)?
Styles purchased during a sample sale, seconds sale, warehouse sale, sitewide sale, or otherwise marked as final sale in an email from Underbares or on a product page are final sale and therefore are not eligible for an exchange, return, or refund. Please note that due to the intimate nature of underwear, all sales of "The Everyday Brief", "The Organic Cotton Boxer Brief", and "The High-Waisted Thong" are final.

How do I initiate my exchange?
Please send us an email at hello@underbares.com with your order number and let us know why you would like to move forward with an exchange and the style you would like to exchange your order for.

Ok, I emailed you. What should I expect next?
We’ll ask you to follow these easy steps:

  1. Make sure your order is in its original condition (unworn, unwashed, unaltered) with hang tags attached. We reserve the right to refuse exchanges that do not meet acceptable hygiene and health standards. For example, if we receive an exchange that has deodorant marks on it or scents attached to it (such as perfume or laundry detergent), these styles will not be eligible for an exchange.
  2. We’ll send you a prepaid USPS return label. We ask that you please print and place your label on the eco-friendly, reusable Underbares poly mailer that you received your original Underbares order in. Make sure to include your original packing slip.
  3. Drop your package off at any USPS location so that it will arrive at our warehouse within 30 days from the date your order was delivered.

What happens when you receive my exchange?
We ask that you please allow up to 5 business days for us to receive, inspect, and process your exchange request.

Sure. What happens once it is inspected? 
Upon inspection, we will process your exchange. If your exchange is received, and it is not approved, we will reach out to you and explain why we are unable to accept your exchange.

How will I know the exchanged styles are being sent to me?
You’ll receive an updated order confirmation email that will include your new order details and corresponding shipping information.

What happens if I receive my exchange, and it’s still not what I hoped for?
We’ll follow the three easy steps listed above. Once your exchanged item is received and inspected at our warehouse, we’ll process a gift card for your original purchase. Please note that your initial shipping costs are non-refundable and will not be included within the gift card total.

Sure. What happens once it is inspected? 
Upon inspection, we will process your return and refund. Please note that a $5 restocking fee will be deducted from your refund to help cover the cost of inspection and restocking. A credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment. Your initial shipping costs are non-refundable. If your return is received, and it is not approved, we will reach out to you and explain why we are unable to accept your return and process your refund.

How will I know my refund is being processed?
You’ll receive an automated email from Underbares detailing your original order and corresponding refund details.

International Shipping, Returns, and Exchanges

As of May 19, 2021, we’re no longer shipping to Australia and Canada. We hope to make international shipping available again soon and appreciate your patience as we get there. Previous orders purchased in Canada or Australia are the responsibility of the customer to return or exchange. Please email hello@underbares.com with your request, and we can help.
